2008 Non-Profit of Year

On behalf of the Staff and Board of Directors of VICARE, we are humbled and honored for the 2008 Non-Profit of the Year Award. This award, given by the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, May 24th, is indeed an honor for our organization.

With over 14 years of service in the community, the issue of HIV/AIDS is still stigmatized. Over the last three years we have attempted to broaden the dialogue of HIV/AIDS in our community. This disease impacts all of us and we need to come together as a community to combat the many challenges we face.

Currently we have the second highest concentration of HIV and third highest concentration of AIDS in the United States. We live in the Caribbean with the second highest rates of HIV/AIDS in the Wo | Detail

14th Annual Walk for Life

November 18, 2008 VICARE is presenting the 14th Annual AIDS Walk for Life. A Walk for Life - 5 miles Through the Rainforest will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2008.

The AIDS Walk begins and ends at the LaWaetz Museum on Mahogany Road, Little La Grange, Frederiksted.
