On behalf of the Staff and Board of Directors of VICARE, we are humbled and honored for the 2008 Non-Profit of the Year Award. This award, given by the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, May 24th, is indeed an honor for our organization.

With over 14 years of service in the community, the issue of HIV/AIDS is still stigmatized. Over the last three years we have attempted to broaden the dialogue of HIV/AIDS in our community. This disease impacts all of us and we need to come together as a community to combat the many challenges we face.
Currently we have the second highest concentration of HIV and third highest concentration of AIDS in the United States. We live in the Caribbean with the second highest rates of HIV/AIDS in the Wo | Detail |

| UNMASKED |

VICARE is presenting an original theatre project, UNMASKED, to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS.
UNMASKED has been written and directed by Iris Pressley-Hall. UNMASKED will have its premiere on July 12, 2008 at 8 pm at the Caribbean Community Theatre in Estate Orange Grove. A second performance is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 3 pm. A question & answer session will follow each performance to enhance the audience's knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
